Supply Chain Coordinator

Reports to: Operations Manager

Location: Unit 1, Tillingbourne Court, Dorking Office Park, Station Road, Dorking,Surrey. RH4 1HJ

Commitment: Full-time, permanent

Salary: £26,000-£30,000 per annum based on experience

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE - To oversee and coordinate the entire supply chain function at Snakehive. Maintain and develop Snakehive’s relationships with existing suppliers and identify new supply partners across the globe as well as minimising shortages, effective management of costs and efficiency of operations.  

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of the end to end supply chain
  • Develop, implement and manage effective strategy to ensure timely delivery of all product, minimise shortages and reduce costs 
  • Build and develop effective relationships with suppliers and research opportunities with new suppliers
  • Negotiate key terms with suppliers for new products and regularly review terms for existing products
  • Implement effective quality control and supplier systems to drive high performance across all operational processes
  • Implement effective supply chain strategy to ensure scalability for current and future growth
  • Be the first port of call to resolve all critical supplier and product quality issues and implement strategies to avoid issue reoccurring
  • Work with other teams to monitor and improve product and operational reliability
  • Create, drive and manage robust KPIs to ensure exceptional performance.
  • Compile Management Information reports as required – using Domo and other software tools
  • The role will involve travel (UK and abroad) to visit suppliers and other third parties as required
  • Form part of a taskforce with other departments to coordinate new product launches
  • Undertake and manage several projects throughout the year
  • Review, develop and implement processes and procedures necessary to ensure a continuously smooth supply chain
  • Work with third party legal team on specifying terms of supplier contracts

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

Essential Skills & Knowledge 

  • Understands and has proven experience of how to manage the retail supply chain (3 year experience minimum)

  • Experience in supply chain planning and strategy
  • Experience in managing projects from concept to delivery
  • Knowledge of forecasting and data analysis
  • Commercial mind-set, able to understand financial impact of different initiatives
  • Experience in supplier relationship management
  • Pragmatic and flexible approach to delivery
  • Strong team working and project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a cross functional team
  • Experience of reporting using B.I. software is desirable
  • Proficiency in English language – spoken and written
  • Proficiency in Excel and IT systems
